17.4.2015 ELECTION SPEECH KARAOKE @ LAVAKLUBI
Two days before the Parliamentary elections the Speech Karaoke Action Group brings the most passionate, the most rampant election speeches of all time to the stage of Lavaklubi to be performed and scrutinized by the public. Do any of the speeches presented during the current campaigns beat the intensity of the “Biggie” – “Iso Jytky” of Timo Soini (True Finns), 2011, or the absurdity of the “Kuningaspossu” (“Piggy King”) of Paavo Väyrynen (NCP) at the time of the latest European parliament elections?
Welcome to perform or listen to your favorite or least favorite speeches at the Speech Karaoke club! The bar is open and the music is played by DJ “Doc” Nosfe.
Time: Friday April 17th – 8pm-2am

21.11.2014 –  ITSENÄISYYSPÄIVÄN PUHEET  TYÖPAJA @ CAISA
Mikä puhe kertoo parhaiten rakkaudesta tai vihasta isänmaahan? Haluatko ehkä tehdä puheen synnyinmaalle tai itsenäiselle Suomelle omalla äidinkielelläsi? Kulttuurikeskus Caisassa juhlistetaan monikulttuurista itsenäisyyspäivää eri kielisillä ja eri kulttuurien puheilla Puhekaraokeillassa 6.12. Caisan salissa. Kutsumme nyt sinut lisäämään oman suosikkipuhesi karaokepuheiden joukkoon 21.11 järjestettävässä työpajassa.

Työpajaan osallistujia pyydetään tuomaan mukanaan teemaan sopiva oma suosikki, inhokki tai vaikkapa itse kirjoitettu puhe, joka sitten jää elämään Suomessa ja ulkomailla kiertävässä karaokessa. Puhe voi olla alunperin pidetty tai kirjoitettu millä tahansa kielellä.  Pajassa Speech Karaoke Action Groupin jäsenet luovat puheelle videon osallistujan toiveiden perusteella ja videon tekemiseen voi myös itse osallistua oman kiinnostuksen mukaan. Perjantaina 21.11.2014 klo 17-20 Caisan Galleria.

(3) 11.1. 2015 – I HAVE A DREAM CLUB @ RAUMANLINNA

The Unelma (=Dream)  exhibition at Lönnström Art Museum will conclude with a Speech Karaoke Club night dedicated to our dreams. In a workshop in November young people wrote speeches that remixed Martin Luther Kings famous I Have a Dream speech. Those and many other speeches will be performed at the club in a relaxed and joyful atmosphere at legendary karaoke joint Raumanlinna. Celebrate with us on Sunday 11.1.2015 from 6pm on.

(4) 30.1. 2015 – HEAVY SPEECHKARAOKE @ LAVAKLUBI

After an uplifting Thank You / Fuck You themed Speechkaraoke club in October we will look at the more gloomy and dark side of life in the January edition of the popular Speechkaraoke club at Lavaklubi. End of the World prophecies, Declarations of War, personal defeats and other heavy shit will hit the fan. Enjoy! Läntinen teatterikuja 1, 00100 Helsinki, from 8 pm on.
